Spiral notebooks are extremely durable and customizable. Wire Bound Notebooks (Wire-O Binding)
For a more polished, professional alternative to our standard spiral binding, choose wire bound notebooks (also called wire-o notebooks). These provide a more rigid, refined look that suits presentation notebooks, journals, and branded corporate notebooks.
Like spiral notebooks, the double-loop metal wire lets pages lay flat when opened, though they do not always lay perfectly flat with pages rotated a full 360°. This is because of how the metal loops clamp closed inside the back cover. Hence, wire-o binding may not be ideal for some uses.

Perfect binding is a good option for composition notebooks, sketch books and other creative uses.
Saddle Stitched (Stapled) Notebooks

While the metal Wire-o binding is very attractive and professional looking, spiral notebooks have several advantages: It's the least expensive notebook binding, as well as the most durable and long lasting. It also lays flat with pages turned 180 degrees or 360 degrees.

What kind of paper do custom notebooks use? We recommend 20/50# Bond or 24/60# Text Smooth for most notebooks. If the notebooks will be used for artwork or coloring rather than just writing, consider upgrading to the 28/70# Text Smooth or 32/80# Text Smooth to reduce show-through.
Will I receive a digital proof before you print my notebooks?
In most cases, we do not
