Printing with bleeds?

Postcard printing looks best with bleeds. A bleed involves printing your postcard art slightly larger than the finish size, then trimming through the edges of the artwork to remove the white borders. Please note, bleeds require a special file setup —— see Templates section or click here for detailed information on bleeds.

"Thank you for the reorder option--that saves so much time! Also love your fast and consistent turn around time, this really helps my planning so we don't run out of postcards. :)"Trish W. - MN

"So far we have ordered a handful of times. We've had flyers, post cards, and even newsletters printed and each and every time we are amazed. The pricing is phenomenal for our needs and the items always arrive quicker than expected. Because of this, we don't shop printers elsewhere."Cassandra L. - PA

"This is a total testament to using Docucopies. I had a Makerfest happening Sat morning. It's Thursday morning & I need postcards printed. I try to support local so I call nearby FEDEX. The quote for 250 postcards double-sided was $459! I expected to pay but not that! My local brander didn't even know who. I thought why not try calling you. Reached Amy and she had the answers. I was able to order 600 postcards double-sided and received them Friday by 12 PM. I believe the job with the rush shipping was $102.00 Amy guided me all the way and when I checked in with Anne she reassured me all was fine with the order when I placed it and I received it like clockwork Friday! Amazing! Thank you!"Denise L. - CA

"You did an outstanding job with making my husband's original paintings into notecards. Thank you!"Kathleen F. - AZ

"I am thrilled that I found you! I have to print things for multiple schools that I have work with and it can get really expensive at Fed Ex. Many times they have an issue with the document that I upload. I honestly thought you wouldn't be able to do the postcards because of what I uploaded and I was THRILLED when I got a box of perfect postcards! You obviously took my document and set it up for me to make that happen! I really appreciate it! The quality of both boxes of copies that I received was great and I felt like it took little to no effort to order them and then they just showed at my door. :) I wish I had found you SOOOO Much sooner. And I will be ordering from you far more many times!!!!!"Dane A. - FL

Postcard Printing FAQ

What is a standard postcard mailing size?

Postcards are printed on a wide variety of sizes, both for mailing and non-mailing purposes. Typical postcard sizes are 4x6", 5x7", 5.5x8.5", and 6x9", though it is not uncommon to see postcards printed as large as 9x12".

Every Door Direct Mail® (EDDM) has more specific requirements. For EDDM sizes, or to start targeting your postcard delivery routes now, go to the EDDM page. EDDM Postcard Mailing

What weight / thickness should my postcard be?

Most postcards are printed on 100# Cover Gloss or Smooth. This heavy card stock is common for business cards, postcards and book covers.

If you want something sturdier, we recommend the 16-pt Extra Thick Cover.

Another great option for postcards with bright graphics or photos is the 12-pt C1S. This is a sturdy card stock with a high-gloss finish on one side, and an uncoated surface on the other (so it can be written on).

Can you print and mail postcards?

Yes we can. For a full quote including postage, enter your job details on the order form and select 1st Class or 3rd Class from the Bulk Mailing dropdown menu.

If you want the post office to deliver your postcards to every address within a custom targeted area, you'll want EDDM postcard printing instead. EDDM Postcard Mailing

How much does mailing a postcard cost?

Postage prices can vary depending on the service chosen, the postcard size, and occasional price increases from USPS. Enter your job details to see the current postage price.
